Christine Sandquist is an NYC-based cultural consultant, sensitivity reader, and editor. They have worked on premier media properties including Critical Role and with authors such as Hugo Award Winner Mary Robinette Kowal, World Fantasy Award Winner Tobias S. Buckell, and Lambda Award Winner Cadwell Turnbull.

Christine specializes in analyzing and providing feedback on works that include diverse, queer casts, representation of neurodivergence, broader themes of mental health, sexual trauma, and gender-based violence. They are part of the team behind Reddit r/fantasy, the internet’s largest discussion forum for the greater speculative fiction genre.

In their free time, they do their best to survive living in a mildly haunted apartment, participate in several book clubs in the NYC area, dabble in knitting and other yarn arts, bake more sourdough than is healthy, and spoil a pair of extremely entitled black cats.
